Jerry Rogers is a board member of the Institute for Regulatory Analysis and Engagement. He is in the business of turning policy and ideas into practice. He is the founder of Capitol Allies—an independent, non-partisan effort that promotes free enterprise. Jerry also has the privilege of serving as vice president at the Institute for Liberty and is the editor at RealClearHealth. He is the host of ‘The Jerry Rogers Show’ on Baltimore’s WBAL NewsRadio.

Prior to establishing Capitol Allies, Jerry was a deputy vice president at the Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America (PhRMA). He led PhRMA’s federal alliance team, working with industry leaders, the scientific and research community, patient advocates, physicians, think tanks, and policy experts to advance common interests on policy, regulatory rules, and legislation.

Before joining PhRMA, Jerry enjoyed a wide experience in politics, policy, and persuasion: press secretary and legislative aide to New Jersey Assemblyman Nicholas R. Felice (R-40th District); district director for Congressman William J. Martini (R-NJ); director of development at the Competitive Enterprise Institute; director of external affairs at the Manhattan Institute for Policy Research; and a Health Forum fellow at the Aspen Institute.

Jerry’s writings have appeared in many news and opinion sites, including National Review, RealClearPolitics, the Daily Caller, TheBlaze, the Washington Examiner, The Hill, and Townhall. His work has been cited by Fox News, Breitbart, One America News, and Dove Television, among others. Jerry is a frequent guest on talk radio and cable television, and he has been a guest expert for numerous panel discussions hosted by think tanks, trade groups, and state legislatures.

Jerry was born in the Bronx, New York and grew up in Fair Lawn, New Jersey. He attended Bergen Catholic High School and after graduating from Fordham University, taught history and theology at Iona Preparatory School. For nearly 20 years, Jerry has lived in Maryland with his wife, Erica, and their five children. He coaches high school football and track & field at Saint John’s Catholic Prep in Frederick County. He is a trustee at his family’s church in Montgomery County.
